1997 Outback Wagon Aftermarket Exhaust

Recommended Posts

You aren't going to find one specifically FOR a 97 Outback. Your best bet, find a WRX axleback and have a shop fabricate a flange to get it to work, or just saw the old one off, weld the muffler on. Wagon exhaust are a little longer as well, so you may have to have piping added to extend it out of the bumper farther.

There used to be SPT axleback mufflers made by Bosal specifically for the wagon/sedan market, but the only way you would probably get one of those now, is from someone in the classifieds selling one. They aren't manufactured anymore.

Waste of money. Won't add but a few HP. If you want more sound you're better off having a shop weld a different muffler in.

If you insist on having larger piping, a good shop can custom fab something for you. The wagon's exhaust piping is not terribly complicated.
