Vsick
So just installed a set of KW coilovers I picked up from a member on the forums. I had a shop install them yesterday, and I am trying to raise the car abit today. well three hours later 1 corner raised, and a tired soul looking for some help. I was able to get one corner to go up about 1cm and started on the other corner.I was able to get it to go up by a quarter turn, now its just stuck. I tried some pb blaster, sprayed some water up there, the thing just wont move. Looking to start fresh and early tommorow with a different approach. Let me know what ideas you guys might have. and yes the set screw is removed. lop sided wagon
Scooter
Might be some corrosion on the threads. Can you spin the ring lower and then try to get in there with a wire brush and clean up the threads a bit..? G/L Seek first to understand, then to be understood. In other words: SEARCH before you post!
BAC5.2
The water wasn't a good idea. The PB blaster was. Soak it with PB, then re-soak... then re-soak. Worst case, you take them off and ship them to KW-USA. Vsick
Currently soaking in PB, going to try again tommorow. If I can't get them to budge then i'll send them to KW.
Bbc84
i thought KW were the ones that are not suppose to seize or have corrosion.
BAC5.2
Not entirely uncommon. Tein's are the worst though. Vsick
finally broke the thing loose using a 3 foot breaker bar. Cleaned all the threads up now smooth as butter.
