outahere Posted June 13, 2004 Posted June 13, 2004 Was checking the new car inventory at irvinesubaru.com and saw that they still have 3 new, unsold 2003 Legacy wagons on the lot. What is up with that?
SUBE555 Posted June 14, 2004 Posted June 14, 2004 Not surprising, they just weren't very exciting cars considering other vehicles were offering near or better value with a more known name and those models weren't well advertised until the end of the model year when they'd say 'closeoutsavings on xxx models'. Sort of hard to sell models if only the bare minimum know about them. Considering that fact, I've seen new Forester, WRX and Outback commercials, but still not a single Legacy commercial.
MacG5 Posted June 14, 2004 Posted June 14, 2004 Why does it seem like SoA and Subaru Canada are worlds apart? I've seen commercials while at the gym on some sports channel (maybe TSN); with Lance Armstrong as the "sponsor". Do you guys get TSN in the States?
SteVTEC Posted June 14, 2004 Posted June 14, 2004 Geez even I've seen US Legacy commercials and I hardly ever turn on the TV.
Sub-attraction Posted June 14, 2004 Posted June 14, 2004 I've seen commercials for Outback's but none dedicated solely to the Legacy.
Drift Monkey Posted June 14, 2004 Posted June 14, 2004 2003 models weren't too exciting, and sold pretty poorly. All the Subaru dealerships near me have leftovers. They'd probably sell for real cheap. :)
Guest *Jedimaster* Posted June 14, 2004 Posted June 14, 2004 My local dealer has them hiding behind a fence until they seel all their 04's
PPower Posted June 21, 2004 Posted June 21, 2004
My local dealer has them hiding behind a fence until they seel all their 04's
They're trying to sell their 04's before their 03's? Your local dealer is bass ackwards. ;)
