coldradio1
So in the next upcoming weeks, I'm gonna try to get a few exterior mods done to the LGT, namely on the front end. Basically gonna black out the grill, HIDs, Hella Supertones and clear the headlights. I'm also thinking I might as well do lamin-x on the headlights and fogs. Fogs are gonna be yellow, so no question there. Headlights, I'm a bit stuck. I don't know if I should just do clear Lamin-x or "optic blue". What do you think? BTW, my car is an 05 BSM, bronze wheels with blue lugs, and I'm probably gonna paint the grills of the supertones blue as well. Pics for clicks. http://farm5.static.flickr.com/4029/4476916661_6c880f7aa2_o.jpg
croll326
I have the yellow on my fogs and it looks good at night. I will see if I still have pics of the yellow Lamix fogs and my HIDs.
Bolksey85
I think between a silver car, bronze wheels, and blue covers, it would be too many colors. Do the clear over clear headlights and it'll be slick.
Bs Legacy Wagon
I am sort leaning the same why on my opinion of sticking with clear rather than multiple colors althought i am not sure how much would you really be able to see of the blue? Is the laminex your putting on there for UV protection? or is it for protection against rock chipping etc. i think i seen local companys that will do a complete front end and mirrors sort of like a clear bra. ( made me wonder if it would be some thing i could do myself with out precut stuff for specific models)

scrcmull
I have a 2006 LTD with 105,000 miles and the laminex headlight/foglight covers have stood up VERY well. Still perfectly clear. A quick heads-up.....when you put them on, make sure they are warmed up/ nice warm day. The contours of the lights require a little moulding and conforming for it to turn out well and if it is a little cold it won't "bend" well around those contours. Yeah, the "bulge" is what is worrying me on these. I put lamin-x on my v-dub (both golf and jetta front ends), but there was no odd shaped areas. I guess we'll see how it goes. alanztalon
I posted this in the Daniel Stern Lighting thread....BSM w/ optic blue. In daylight it looks lightly tinted and a little blueish but not too bad. and definitely put them on when it is warm. I installed them a few weeks ago in about 50 degree weather and I needed a hairdryer to keep them warm. here is the finished product: Finished my headlight project....
