papa g
Code readers will generally just read and reset CEL codes. OBD scanners will read data from the ECU and clear codes. Scanners can give you good info about how your car is running if there are problems depending on the quality of scanner you get. BE committed to DO what it takes to HAVE more of what you want in your life!!!
NSFW
Generic code readers are a waste of money for what you're going to do. Knowing what codes you have doesn't help much, you'll also want to disable one or more of them depending on what mods you do. And you'll want to retune the ECU, or get it retuned, for those mods to work to their full potential without damaging the car. And you'll want to log a few things (at a much faster rate than generic ODB2 provides) to find out of the engine is healthy and/or troubleshoot problems. Polo08816
How do those options compare to Subaru Select Monitor 3? Would you need a VXDIAG hardware?
