Hey guys, I just registered about 10 minutes ago. I am totally engrossed in this Legacy, especially after seeing all the B4s, STis, and other JDM modded ones out there. If one of us, or maybe me :) can be a test mule for these, hopefully we can get something going. Here are a couple of pics of my current car. going to the Legacy (if i get it) will definitley be a nice boost in HP and TQ over this torqueless beast, haha. Welcome KCMC582! Glad to see you joined! Is your Accord a V6 or a I4? You said it's a torqueless but you have a link to V6 performance in your profile.... IIRC the V6 Accord your MY has 195lb-ft of tq. Not all THAT bad...:)

thanks for the welcome mine IS a V6, but it doesnt get beneficial until after VTEC engagement, which is 3500....so below that, the car is a dog. unless you drive around in D3 sucking down precious (i.e. expensive) gas, your pretty much getting walked on by LOTS of cars. Combine that with our HORRIBLE transmission, and well...you get the same results with a I4 5 speed. but still, its held me for a while :)

The AT really kills it for that car I guess. :P On to bigger and better things then! :D

thanks guys :D to each his own about the rims i guess. compared to the typical style of rims on your guys cars, i guess mine are a lil bling bling...but to the honda-type crowd, my rims are too plain....and to the audi guys, they say "hey, those look like german rims" haha.

To each their own... :)

yeah, they really are Audi/VW rims. Tirerack has them pictured on all those cars. But the Accord is all angles and whatnot, so it flows really well with my kit and whatnot. and actually, they look nearly IDENTICAL to RX-8 rims, i just dont feel like finding a picture of them now, haha.

Keen resemblence! 8)

if you look at the dyno graphs, the accord v6 has puny amounts of torque, like 100lb-ft, UNTIL close to peak torque. it's really sad. look at a v6 camry dyno. it's much broader, with near peak numbers starting at 2000rpm. however, they've solved this problem on the new accords

And the GT rims look very similar... just softer edges:

yeah, those definitley have softer edges, but i wouldnt have bought the rims if they looked like that, it doesnt flow (IMO) with my lines. and yeah, haha, you dont have to tell me how puny the torque output of the AV6 is, i experience it daily.

Agreed... it's just interesting how many rims look similar across manufacturers.

The rim below looks quite a bit like the GT rim... guess what it's on? :)

It still lacks a variable intake manifold, and still doesn't have a continuously variable VVT system, both of which can help enormously with low and medium speed torque production. And with peak torque at 5000rpm, and peak power at 6250rpm, it's still very much a high-end biased engine when left to its own devices. A lot of people still say they lack low-end. At least the 6spd coupe guys get a variable intake manifold. I guess Honda is too cheap to put it on the high-volume automatics though, even when they need it more. argh! stupid honda!!!

haha, thanks steve :) im enlightened to the fact that i NEED torque. im taking a lot of cars into consideration...the 5th gen maxima, this legacy, a 3 series, A4...the only one that is pathetic right off the bat is the A4, but mods will lead the way, haha. one of the main things making me stick it out with my AV6 is the styling. everytime i walk outside and look at it, i LOVE the styling and the look of my car. well that, and $$$
