wrxya33
Had some scrap metal around and didnt want to pay 120 plus for a piece of sheet metal. Sure they bend theres with a press and i used a hammer. I think mine came out pretty good. You can see where i persuaded the bend with my body hammer. All and all it took me about an hour of cutting and test fitting and i accidentally slipped when cutting the notch for the hood release thats why its so far up. Was supposed to be bout 1/2 inch shorter but i slipped. Still looks great. I then painted it the same color as my rims bronzeish gold. While my roommate made a cool tech nine stencil which we put on way to much stuff in the garage lol. If anyones interested ill make them and sell them for like 40 bucks. Or ill just give you measurments and you can do it yourself too. http://i389.photobucket.com/albums/oo338/wrxya33/P1140063.jpghttp://i389.photobucket.com/albums/oo338/wrxya33/P1140068.jpghttp://i389.photobucket.com/albums/oo338/wrxya33/P1140066.jpg
wrxya33
You have to tap 2 existing holes to use the 12 mm bolts i used. But you can prolly find a bit smaller bolt and not have to just thread it in. Youll see what i mean
WESTcoast
Nice, there is a diy on making these from hard plastic, I made one before but when i went to work on my radiator i took it off and now its lost forever haha. Althought mine wasnt as extravagant as metal, it did the job and looked nice at the end of the day. btw nice gold stockies you got laying around in the back!
