Tire Pressure Monitor System

There's better systems out there (like the Michelin system and Dakota Digital) that actually tells you the pressure AND internal temperature rather than just flashing a red light saying you are low on pressure.. I was going to get the Dakota Digital one on my WRX at one point, but that would mean I would have to buy over 6 sets of sensors (24 sensors in all) for all my rims :p

Here is the link for the Dakota Digital:

Additional sensors for other rims that you have-

yea, you would just mount them inside the tire as it comes with hardware and such.. once you get them on for the mounting and balancing, you dont have to worry about it until the next the time you get new tires.

KA81: it's all about the bling yo! On as serious note, some people are that lazy that they dont check tire pressures even if their lives depended on it.

The four tire system is $229 at tire rack and the optional display is $49. I even think I've seen it for less somewhere else. Unless I'm missing something $278 is less than $399....

Also, it can handle up to 20 wheel/tire combinations. It is set up to handle a trailer situation but they also say it can be used with a snow tire set and a summer tire set. They suggest you put your snows on the trailer setting so that you can program different default psi, delta before warning, max temp, etc. for each set of wheels. You program all those setting individually by axle. (Why not wheel - I don't know?)

I've not used any of them before so I encourage people to look into both before making a decision. I just wanted to pass on what I had found...
