1astrokeit
for those of you that did their clutch install themselves, whether you went with spec or ACT and installed the TSK-3 kit along with it. which method did you use. i know theres a few different ways to do it. im doing my install on jack stands. im also changing to wrx flywheel with ACT clutch and tsk-3 kit. now i want to do the easiest way without droping the whole transmission out, because i know i cant lift it back into place. a guy on here by the name scruit did a nice video of the install and he did the "slide the trans back" method. but my questions is, if i did that method could i install the tsk3 kit with the axles still in trans or would i have to remove them? also if i removed the axles how much more room would i get by removing the axles from the trans? any advice would help me right now. schwinn
I did NOT do it myself... after reading the crazy long walkthrough posted by someone else, I realized it was well worth the $525 to have someone else do it... not to mention the time and frustration of running into problems along the way! Do a search for the walkthrough - it's VERY detailed. EDIT: Not to mention there are plenty of threads that describe how they did it anyway... see: http://www.legacygt.com/forums/showthread.php?p=2750836#post2750836
