So my girlfriend has an 09 wrx with a perrin DP and perrin catback and a little while ago the CEL light and traction control light came on and cruise control light started flashing. After getting the code read, i figured out i learned that i need to put the O2 sensor farther up on the DP to keep it away from the fumes. A guy a Forman performance was describing the piece i need to me but i could make out the name. Does anyone know what i am talking about or am i crazy?:spin:

She need to tune then. thats why all the ligths are on. some catted and uncatted aftermarket dps can cause a cel because the ecu thinks the car is still stock. you can risk engine problems that way. There are mechanical fixes for it. I just dont know it.

If you have a laptop and a tactrix or vag com cable (not talking about the vag cable in yer pants) you can download romraider and tune for cheap. You can probably find a free map that would fix the cel and make the car run well.

its a WRX...

dont buy an AP. get open source tuned. if her brother can do it, he should at least flash a stock map with the CEL cleared. she should probably get that CAI tuned, though..not sure about the WRXs but on the LGT there are supposed issues of cars running lean when changing the intake.
