airborne200208 Posted December 7, 2009 Posted December 7, 2009 Hey, I've had my 05 LGT for about 3 weeks now and I've been having problems with the driver window. When I try to roll it up it goes to within half an inch of the top and stops. I have to open the door to get it to go the rest of the way up. Anyone know what could be causing this problem? <-----HONDA SERIAL KILLER-----> RIP JHMEH6160RS006479 RIP 1HGCD5650VA021631 RIP JHMGD38688S015633
king_j Posted December 7, 2009 Posted December 7, 2009 the rubber trim on the frame of the car is somehow in the way? if it goes up al the way when the door is open, it should go up all the way with it shut, unless something was blocking it.
timmahh Posted December 7, 2009 Posted December 7, 2009 Not to jack the thread but does anyone else have the issue were the window 'clunks' when it rolls up? About 1/2 way, almost like it's hitting a loose wiring harness.. airborne - does it go completely up with the door open or does it still pause?
airborne200208 Posted December 8, 2009 Author Posted December 8, 2009 It goes all the way up with the door open. I'll take pics tomorrow when its light out. <-----HONDA SERIAL KILLER-----> RIP JHMEH6160RS006479 RIP 1HGCD5650VA021631 RIP JHMGD38688S015633
airborne200208 Posted December 10, 2009 Author Posted December 10, 2009 Ok, fog finally cleared enough to take good pics of my effed up window. So, as you can see, the glass leans in when you open the door. Also the back edge of the window comes up before the front and it is rubbing on some part of the track inside the door. I wanted to see if anyone had a clue before I tore out the door panel. All other windows open and close fine, the front right gets the same smear on it though. airborne200208 Posted December 11, 2009 Author Posted December 11, 2009 Alright, I stopped being a lazy ass and tore the door apart, somehow the front of the window was off the track. Eh, whatever. Its all fixed now. <-----HONDA SERIAL KILLER-----> RIP JHMEH6160RS006479 RIP 1HGCD5650VA021631 RIP JHMGD38688S015633

94sportsedan Posted December 11, 2009 Posted December 11, 2009 I have that same damn smear on the inside of the drivers side window. It also cllunks going up and down. Guess I better tear the door panel off and investigate.
airborne200208 Posted December 11, 2009 Author Posted December 11, 2009 I don't know if it fixed the smear. It was cold so as soon as it worked I was done. Tomorrow I'm going to clean the window off and see if it still smears, if so there are some pad lookin things in the door that maybe need to be replaced. <-----HONDA SERIAL KILLER-----> RIP JHMEH6160RS006479 RIP 1HGCD5650VA021631 RIP JHMGD38688S015633
