TOB Update - Now howling like angry cat :)

Hey all,

 

Just took my wife's car out after it's been sitting since friday evening. Since then, we've gotten about 1-2" of snow, ice, and general wetness.

 

Anyhoo, let it warm up for about 90 seconds and then drove it. For about 4-5 minutes of driving, every time I touched the 3rd pedal that thing was howling pretty badly. I mean loud and like a cat that was being tortured.

 

Never been that loud before, or persisted for that long.

 

Thing has been making noise since at least 20k, maybe before.

 

Anyway, at 34k now and it'll be going into the shop within the next 2 weeks for corrosion on the wheels and door sill plates, a broken gas cap strap, and a TOB from the bowels of hell

 

Honestly, if they offer to replace the TOB for free I might pony up the money for the TSK3 kit. I wonder if they'd void the warranty on other part in the trans-interface if I asked them to install it.
