blakout
So i just was on fred beans site and got a price quote from them for a brake kit and they said 710.88 for lgt.com members. Well I was curious to see how much they were saving me and I put the same kit into the shopping cart and filled out all the info for shipping and it comes to 709.76. How the hell is this a discount for us?!?!?!? Is this the kind of crap they have been pulling with us this whole time?
Underdog
No, they are pretty good with prices but sometimes their site isn't 100% up to date. I've recently ordered a slew of parts from them and I always compare my quote to a cart I build on the site... sometime the parts are slightly over the listed but all in all I usually save 15-20%. On my last order I saved something like $400 on a $3000 order. Also, is the $710.88 a shipped price? If so, you basically got free shipping. As the customer you have every right to cross shop with other dealers... I usually put out quotes to at least three dealerships if it is an OEM part, and as many as possible if it is aftermarket. whitetiger
just PM fredbeansparts and have him quote you the most current price. Usually is less that whats listed on the web page.
Underdog
Oh, then I would call a local dealer and find out what their price is. If it's much higher then you are already getting a good deal and decide whether you want to make a stink over the $1 difference. If it's comparable to the FBP price then give them a call and explain your problem. Jeremy and Ryan are both very professional and easy to deal with, I'm sure they will take care of you. Sometimes you just gotta get on the horn to make things happen. The Crimson Dynamo
DirtyDirtyHouse
They totally hooked me up with a StopTech Big Brake Kit for the front. Much cheaper than anywhere else. They were shipped to my house in no time. Very very good guys to talk to. I have had nothing but great service and awesome prices with them. blakout
Im not really upset that there isnt a huge discount on the quoted price, I am just a little uneasy with the idea if they are saying they give us lowered prices when they really arent. Underdog
Well you can either jump to that conclusion or do some legwork and find out the real deal. I think you will be hard-pressed to find another vendor with as many satisfied (and informed) customers. The Crimson Dynamo
big ears
Phone Fred Beans and if you have a better price from another dealer they will Price Match; note they also accept Subaru Bucks. Fred Beans has been 100% reliable in processing and shipping my parts orders.
smokedoutv6
beans is awesome, i would call them and see what they tell you, mayeb youre missign something that comes witht he lgt member kit? i would just call, theyve always have the best prices and will easily price match anythign you find for cheaper. just a quick example i found a part cheaprer on another site, contacted them and not only did he give me the product for CHEAPER then i found it, he updated the website so everyone gets it for that price. to me thats an excellent business practice and thats why i pretty much only buy from them. i've even referred a few people there that dont even have LGTs for some misc parts. mikeislord
I have bought almost every new part on my car from FBP. No one is better in customer service or prices.

FredBeans
So i just was on fred beans site and got a price quote from them for a brake kit and they said 710.88 for lgt.com members. Well I was curious to see how much they were saving me and I put the same kit into the shopping cart and filled out all the info for shipping and it comes to 709.76. How the hell is this a discount for us?!?!?!? Is this the kind of crap they have been pulling with us this whole time? Just some clarification - We always try to offer additional discounts to the forum members whenever possible, But in this case the Brake Kits you are referring to were placed on the site specifically for the LGT.com community at drastically discounted pricing. Brakes & Clutches are some of our most popular items for LGT Members. So keeping this in mind when we put those type of kits together & load them onto the site for the community, we price them very aggressive to help you guys from having to spend time requesting prices. I understand that some people may prefer us to inflate the prices on the site, & offer a discount when asked for it, but others would just as soon have a great price right on the site so they can purchase anytime they like, & dont have to worry about trading messages for pricing & then figuring out how to pay. As far as the $1.12 price difference, I can assure you it was a slight difference in the online shipping calculater vs the salesperson you were communicating with's shipping calculation, & not an attempt to take you for a ride. I hope this info clears up some of you comments / questions? On a side note, thank you for those who added insight in this thread for us. Ive said it many times before, & I will continue say it. The members on here are by far the greatest group of people I have ever had the pleasure of dealing with. We have built some great relationships on here & will continue to attempt to excede everyones expectations. & I thank you all for keeping in mind that there is value in good service as well. We are on a lot of other forums, & it seems like there is minimal, to no loyalty with the members on them, & its more of a game to play vendors against each other in an attempt to get the lowest price possible. I'm not sure that they realize that if people are forced to make no money on a sale that eventually they will not be able to afford the resources or personnel to provide them with support they may need, or want in the future. Again, I personally thank all of you for continuing to support us. Without the members of LGT, we would not be where we are today.
executor485
^FBP is awesome. I've ordered a number of times from them and every time I have had exceptional results. I'll continue supporting them because of their great service and prices. If I pass you on the right, I'm flipping you off.

I could absolutely care less about the additional $1. I am not trying to bash FBP in the slightest, I was just concerned because the math wasnt working out. A simple act of looking out for everyone on here, but since we have all now been informed that the brake kits are priced for us on their site we all know better.
