vlad_b
Pending the results of the bolt cutting and extraction that is scheduled for tuesday I might need a new rear bilstein strut. Any idea what is the cheapest way to get it? At subaru it's $285. I don't mind used and I remember seeing here some company that sells used, but now when I need it I can't find it. Gire
Finding 1 used might be really tough. I've never seen a set advertised that the seller was willing to split it up. I've never seen a partial set for sale either. RalliTek sells the Bilsteins buy the corner, so you could give them a call. http://www.rallitek.com/suspension1.html
sactojesse
Keep in mind that the Bilstein HD is not the same as the JDM LGT Rev. C Bilsteins that came on USDM Spec Bs. The Bilstein HDs are firmer riding than the relatively soft USDM Spec B Bilsteins. Gire
Good point. I wonder how strange an HD set up in the rear, and a Rev C set up in the front would feel like. I'm thinking probably minimal, to the average LGT enthusiast. One corner only with an HD strut doesn't sound like a good idea though!
Underdog
If you can't find an OEM Bilstein to replace it with, get a pair of HD's from tirerack or some other vendor. IIRC the rear HDs are <$100 per side. Not good to mix and match side to side, front to back is probably okay though. The Crimson Dynamo
