Falken Ziex ZE-502...how do they compare to 512s and 912s?

I am considering picking up new tires for my stock 17s, and I was looking at a site that still has a stock of new Falken Ziex ZE-502s. I have run 512s and 912s in the past, and was comfortable with them.

 

The 502s are dirt cheap- $65 each for a 225/45/17.

 

These will be for commuting and daily driving. I have both dedicated track wheels/tires for the Legacy, and a dedicated track car (in-progress).

 

Any problem with the 50s as daily rollers?

 

These will see typical Mid-Atlantic winters, and a 100-mile commute, daily. In truly terrible weather, I have a Jeep or will just stay home from work.
