How old were you when you 'Outgrew' your WRX?

I keep reading about people on the forum who say they moved to a Legacy after they outgrew their WRX. Professional car reviews often refer to the Legacy GT as the car for people who outgrow their WRX.

 

Poll question: At what biological age did you outgrow your WRX?

never had a WRX.....I had a Gti...skipped right up to the legacy.

 

I havnt out-grown the WRX as much as I outgrew the new ricerness of the wrx community since ~'05.....

Well I don't think I count, 2 years ago when I was in the market for a car a decent WRX with low miles was 14k for a 2003/4, I saw a 2005 Legacy for the same price and insurance was $50 a month cheaper, so I guess I outgrew it as soon as I knew what the other option was

'03 WRX Wagon ---> '05 Legacy GT Wagon ---> '08 STI

 

I have to say....the new STI doesn't feel adolescent at all. It's 95% as nice inside as my LGT was but is a LOT more fun to drive. It also doesn't garner ANY attention at all, unlike my '03 wagon.

I traded in a MY06 WRX STI in June 2007 (age 44) for my current ride and couldn't be happier.

Kept my 240sx when i bought the legacy. It may be adolescent, but it's a much more responsive and direct ride than the legacy.

I went 2002 WRX > 2004 STI > 2007 Spec B. Now, I have a 2010 WRX Wagon on order. I love the spec, but the new WRX's have a bit more excitement.

My LGT is my first car. I bought it 3 years ago whilst only 17 over a WRX. If I could have, I would have probably bought the STi ... and would now be regretting doing so.

spent years in the Honda game. Bought the Legacy because people kept trying to steal my hatch (idiots around here I tell ya!!!) I like the car but want an 08 STI now because Subaru were a bunch of idiots in 05 by not giving us even fold down seats??? Seriously my 91 civic had fold down seats and even my old Jeep and 83 toyota had fold down seats.

 

So now I want an 08 STI or a 6MT LGT Wagon to come out

The low average age of the kids who felt like they outgrew their WRX is one of the reasons I got rid of mine. I really needed to separate myself from that age bracket as the car drew too much unwanted attention from police and other dbag ricer teenage morons on the road.

I never had a wrx I just went srtaight to the legacy from a jeep. i'm 23. the wrx just had too cheap looking of an interior. Plus I was able to talk the dealer down to less than a wrx would have cost.
