WraithAkaMrak
The Legacy, Outback, Impreza (except WRX), Forester and Tribeca are all on the IIHS's Top Safety Picks for 2010.Subaru is the only manufacturer with a winner in all 4 vehicle classes in which it competes. This automaker earns 5 awards for 2010.This year's testing also includes a roof crush test, which means some models from last year's list are no longer in the list. 2010 Top Safety Picks announced by IIHS, new roof strength rule shakes things up (Autoblog) The 2010 Impreza WRX was excluded, due to an "Acceptable" overall rear crash rating (apparently due to the headrest design of the WRX seats). Ratings are on a scale of Poor/Marginal/Acceptable/Good. BigT
Nice! Safety is a large factor for some car buyers. This should help sales!
ColoradoLegacy
Safety was a strong factor in my prior Outback purchase as well as my recent Legacy purchase. previous Outback - when oldest son was learning to drive. new Legacy - Youngest son about to learn how to drive. DukeTrout
Safety was a big factor in choosing Subaru for me. Both for my wife's OBXT and for my LGT. I didn't want to get a sporty car that wasn't also safe in a crash. Ich bin echt viel netter, wenn ich nuechtern bin. Echt!
IwannaSportSedan
Bwah! What does a browncoat care about ultimate safety? Like a firefly... A good subaru just strikes me as functionally attractive (although the newest ones less and less...) The form of a thing, being functional, as Jubil Early might say. Nice Avatar. DukeTrout
Everybody's gotta make a fuss. It was a legitimate conflict of interest... Ich bin echt viel netter, wenn ich nuechtern bin. Echt!
IwannaSportSedan
I am in no way like little Kaylee, but I can agree with her on this. "Machines just got workin's, and they speak to me." "Well, my days of not takin' you seriously are definitely coming to a middle... " So many good quotes out of only 14 episodes and a movie.
