Topshelfs30
I have been running a set of aftermarket rims for a year and a half now with the stock TPMS sensors. No problem. If the tire pressure went low, the light came on. fix the pressure, no more light. recently, the light came on so i checked the pressures and i had a leak in one tire. I filled it up to and from work for a few days, eventually with correct tire pressure the light would just blink. I replaced the tires with new ones (bout time i got rid of the RE92s).. Same issue. New tires, stock TPMS sensor, but blinks I am guessing the sensor went bad somehow? Is this covered under warranty? which warranty would cover this? my car is passed the drivetrain one (38k miles) 08 lgt
Guest heightsgtltd
Did the dealership recalibrate the sensors when you changed tires? If not, that could be a reason it's blinking or it could be a bad sensor
Topshelfs30
When I had my rims installed, the tire shop just swapped sensors to new rims. Everything has worked fine until I recently started losing pressure from a leak then sensor started blinking.
CasopoliS
If it blinks that usually means that one of the sensors is not registered, or it lost track of a sensor. If you go to the dealership they should be able to put a little tool by the wheel and remotely program / calibrate the sensor. The code for this is 25 blinks then solid I think.
