mightyS
The Clemson sports car club is hosting another autocross in Anderson, SC, on Nov 22. Here is the link:http://www.clemsonscc.com/ It is a good smaller autocross for those who are new and have never tried it. I'll be there with my Legacy. We had 48 drivers last time. Each had 5 runs. A run takes from 60 to 80 seconds depending how fast you are. Then there were some fun runs at the end.
mightyS
It is just a week away. So far, I'm the only Subaru on the list!
mightyS
Wow, what a rainy day for an autocross. The rain started just as the first car went out. The first group had 1 run with just a wet road. Then the rain really came down so there were several puddles and 1 deep one. I was in the second group so we had to go slower and drive through the puddles. The Legacy did well and stopped much faster than I expected. No, I didn't win nor do I expect to win. Still, it was interesting to see what the car can do in a hard rain.
smitty
Ive done a rainy track day in the LGT and it performed pretty well. As long as you have some decent tires it does a lot better than expected. Sorry to hear you had to stand in the rain though.
