bchager
I have a 2009 Legacy and the coin holder cup has come separated from the door (panel) that is pushed to access it and the power outlet. It floats freely now. Any suggestions on how to fix? It doesn't seem to just snap right back in place. Thanks in advance

Aczwild
You need to remove some of the coins, there is too much weight in there. JDM'd All to hell Thanks Jimmy @ Hkc-Speed.com! RIP Coxx & Thanks

pillboy
That's what happens when you use synthetic oil. It is still ugly.
LGT Dave
There's nothing broken. That's just how it is. Like Aczwild said, there's probably too many coins in there and the weight keeps it from moving how it did when it was lighter.
bchager
Thanks everyone. Having too many coins in there is the last thing I would have thought of! I'll try it out.

pillboy
Map pocket, coin holder...all depends on what you keep in there. It is still ugly.
Onthewagon
I thought we were talking about the place between the shifter and the climate control, where cars used to have an ashtray. In my car, this is located behind a door which also hides a fake cigarette lighter.
bchager
Here's a picture of what I'm talking about. If you can tell me whether or not yours are separated too, I'll stop trying to fix it! Thanks...

Aczwild
Mine is separate too, take some of the change out, it will be fine. Its all about gravity JDM'd All to hell Thanks Jimmy @ Hkc-Speed.com! RIP Coxx & Thanks
Living Legacy
Mine is separate too, take some of the change out, it will be fine. Its all about gravity That sounds right to me too (although I can't confirm unless I looked at the car). I was not sure what to do with my coins as that isn't big enough so I just take them out of my car everyday-I don't spend them as much which makes it a "savings account" in a way cause I wait until the empty 1.75 L of Jack Daniels is full before cashing it in:eek: That is where my audio AUX input is located as I did the blank CD mod...works great and keeps everything looking stock. JoeFromPA
Rao - I was literally about to write in the same thing. It's not a coin holder, it's an ash-tray used as a coin holder. I literally though there was a built-in coin holder somewhere on my car that I had been missing Apparently there's a cat in the engine bay...so who knows what's possible Joe
pillboy
I read "door (panel)" in the original post and was lead astray. Don't forget to remove that "plug" on the right hand side and stack your dimes up in there. Works well. It is still ugly.
