So , How many spec b's are there?

Recommended Posts

Hi all ! I was wondering just how many spec b's in total were produced for each of the 4 model years. I know there were 500 '06's ; and only 432 ' 07's (according to Reza). Given that there are'nt any 2010 spec b's ;a final tally should be possible. Anyone know the answer?
Do it right the first time.........or don't bother doing it at all.

they didnt cap production on them after the first 2 year so Im guessing in the 5000+ range

432 for 2007. They ran into a production problem with a certain part, which caused them to have a limited run. That's info I found on here. As for 2008 and 2009 you would need to call SOA to find out.

NO ran out of people to over pay by 4 grand over a GT for an extra gear and a badge:lol:

It's not just an extra gear it's a better transmission all around. It also has a torsen lsd in the rear end, VDC, upgraded suspension with aluminum suspension components, 18" wheels with decent performance tires, nav and a few other interior upgrades. Seems like a good deal to me.. That aside many people only paid 2-3k over the cost of a loaded LGT.

the reply i was expecting from a spec b owner:lol::p

Sorry but in 08 and 09 there was no difference in the interior of spec b to a GT, also All 09s have VDC as does my BFs 08 3.0R outback, also a loaded GT comes with nav. So basically, suspension, extra grear, badge, a different lsd(gts have them), and no those tires are not performance or decent, i've driven on them. Not to mention a 08 and 09 3.0R limited has 18s and the same suspension.

Im just picking on yall, you spec b people are to serial.

Yes there was, we get Alcantara inserts and memory seats, nobody else does.

NO THEY DON'T all have VDC! The manual GT DOES NOT have VDC!

If you get a slush-box you can get a nav. A lot of us actually enjoy driving so we own manuals...No nav for manual models EXCEPT the Spec.B.

We have a Torsen, GTs have a viscous in the rear. Torsen>Viscous. Sure Torsen is heavier and more expensive, but it also reacts a lot quicker.

The RE050A while not the best performance tire, is decent. They fall smack in the middle of their class for performance numbers.

And yes, I could justify the extra money I spent on the SPec.B. Having a 6 speed rather than a 5 almost makes it all worth it. Especially with all the TO Bearing problems I'm hearing about. I've also always had a 6mt, so going to a 5mt would have been silly.

Your posts never seem to amaze me with their content. It's all very typical of you... Opinions are like A$$holes, everyone has one. You have yours and the happy B owners will have ours.

Alcantera interior and memory driver seat along with nav in a car with a manual transmission are all differences in the interior.

VDC, even in 09 is not available with the 5mt.

Beefier torsen rear lsd only available in the spec b.

Re50A are summer only performance tires.. Look them up on tirerack. They are decent, even the 335i comes with them if you get the sport package.

The 3.0R also comes at a premium price, and only gets the suspension and wheels/tires.

You're clearly not well informed on the differences in the GT/Spec B, and from the sounds of your posts you're clearly jealous that you don't have one :)

I wanted to know the same thing, so I sent a letter to both SOA and Subaru Canada and I got the same reply. This is what SOA said:

"According to our records, the 2009 Legacy GT SpecB was not marketed as a limited edition or as a special limited production for collectors. Our vehicule production mix is usually based on anticipated sales interest in that model.

I am sorry, as Subaru of America does not provide the production numbers for its models. We only provide sales results, which are only broken down by model line."

If anyone has the the numbers, I would love to know
