Those of you out there with the 2.5i MT...

I'm pushing 84,000 miles and the clutch is still working fine. I maybe have to wait a little time when the car is cold to put it in 1st, but other than that, I'm really impressed with its longevity. I don't drive the car very hard at all, though.

I'm amazed because my old Camaro needed a clutch after 40,000 miles or less. Has anyone made it to 100K without replacing yours?

Read that a guy ran a clutch in a N/A forester for well over 100K on rs25.com (I think) but i don't think it is that rare for make it over 100K I went 109K on a stock clutch in my Grand Am GT, but Ihear the best of drivers dont make it that far on a subbie.

When the time comes are you gonna replace with stock or after market?? swap your fork with a LGT fork and you can enjoy the coolness of LGT tranny parts

I have a good customer that has made it to 100k on his factory clutch for his LGT. The car is not stock by any means. I even have one that made it over 200k in his mid 90's Impreza too.

Good point it is based solely on the driver!!!!!!!! if you suck at clutch work dont bank on the clutch past 75K if youre a pro like myself shoot for 115K minimum ;) ( seriously tho not to brag but I drive well I grew up on a farm driving hay trucks skidders tractors dozers and everything in btwn )

I think I'll just go stock when I replace it as it's been so far...so good.

Another factor besides the driver is the drive. I do a lot of freeway and hardly any stop and go which I'm sure helps minimize wear.

Hope it makes it to 100K! By then I'll have enough SubieBucks to get it done and not get my hands dirty.

HAHA nice plan with eh Subie Bucks I wish I could say the same but i wont be visiting the dealer that much. I have 36422 in my 08 90 percent of that is a commuting btwn Charlottesville and Roanoke VA. So i feel my clutch is in great shape to have 36K on it i do very little stop go driving as well.
