bentley429
I do not own a legacy yet but I do brake boost with my mustang. Within a few seconds its at full boost and takes off well. It doesnt hurt anything, possibly just a little more wear on the pads thats all.
fishbone
look it up and you will see the point. it a race tactic. I think you misunderstood me. I don't see the point since I can just floor it and leave in a hurry anyway. The gain is not worth the risk of breaking the tranny. I'd say since you unfortunately have to rebuild yours, you have first hand experience with this aspect. I can see doing it from a dead stop which really, what you want to do is a boost launch, but from a roll? If I floor it at 30+ it downshifts and I hit my target boost. It really doesn't get better than that unless, I suppose, I wanna show off.

fishbone
Good point, I can see it with a larger turbo to cut down on lag but as you said, easier done on a manual and not particularly healthy for a stock torque converter.
