For those of you have never run at the "Black Lake," it's 1400 ft x 400 ft of perfectly smooth, flat, obstacle-free asphalt - in short, one of the best autocross sites in the southeast. The "Black Lake Shootout" is a two-day event, jointly hosted by Central Carolinas Region SCCA and South Carolina Region SCCA. Entry fees are $55 for SCCA Members, and $75 for Non-Members (advance payment; $5 charge for on-site payment).Advance registration is REQUIRED for this event, due to an expected turnout of over 200 cars. There is a mail-in registration form in the supplementary regulations, for anyone who cannot register online. I haven't done any yet but my tires are down to the wear bars and i have no helmet . I really want to try it though.... I'll bring my slr and video camera.
