Justdoitmikey
Hello all! I recently lost my 07 Legacy (see post here ) and got a used IS350. After getting the new car I had a really bad experience with Mobile 1 Detailing and wanted to warn other locals about this company so they don't get taken advantage of like I did. My story is as follows (or scan down for pictures of hack job by Mobile 1 Detailing): I did research on local area detailers and finally decided to get an exterior only detail from Mobile 1 Detailing in the Atlanta Georgia area. All the local merchant review sites had great things to say about Mobile 1 Detailing, but in the end it was determined that they forged their reviews. When they showed up I went over what I expected and showed them the areas that needed a bit more attention and was assured by Colyn that it was no problem and I would be 100% satisfied. Well when they were done I pointed out that all the body panels had severe holograms (small scratches / swirl marks) and was assured that they would "disappear" over the next few hours. When the scratches didn’t disappear I called and spoke to Colyn who told me that they got "a bad batch of product" and would come correct the damage free of charge. Well they didn't show for two more appointments, they never called to say they needed to reschedule, and when I called to ask if they were running late was told that they were just down the road. I tried for 48 hours to reach them and request a refund, but it became apparent over those 48 hours that they were screening my calls since I could not get an answer when I called from my phone but if I used another phone line I got an answer immediately. Well after playing their little caller ID game I got Justin who was extremely apologetic and told me they would mail a refund out and I would have it by the following week. Of course that week passed and I had NO check! So I once again called from a different number, and was put on hold for 20 minutes! I decided to call on another number while on hold and received an immediate answer from Jason who said he was the owner, and once again I got the kind understanding Mobile 1 employee routine and was assured that this would be handled. Needless to say it has been almost a month from the date I was promised a refund and I’m still waiting! After all these problems I decided to do more research and learned that Mobile 1 had suspicious reviews that are believed to be forged, I also found out that most of the photos they are using on their website as "examples of their work" are stolen from other detailers websites, or from places like the Dupont Registry! In short Colyn, Justin, Jason, and Mobile 1 Detailing as a whole are a fraudulent company who are nice, helpful, and sound intelligent but fall miserably short of delivering the product they promise. They are without a doubt the least professional company I have ever dealt with and will do everything they can to get your money and then screw you over with terrible service. So for all you Georgia members looking for someone to detail your baby DO NOT choose Mobile 1 Detailing! I hope you guys can read this so that you don't get taken advantage of and have to deal with all the problems have had. http://img132.imageshack.us/img132/7934/img1209m.jpg http://img132.imageshack.us/img132/551/img1207e.jpg http://img268.imageshack.us/img268/9867/img1206yfy.jpg http://img37.imageshack.us/img37/3415/img1203k.jpg Here is a 50/50 shot with the damage from Mobile 1 on the left and the corrected panel on the right. http://img9.imageshack.us/img9/7766/img1821ins.jpg I finally got the car fixed by a REAL detailer and it cost me twice what Mobile 1 stole from me and 12 hours of labor to fix their damage. I have filed a complaint with BBB but I seriously doubt that Mobile 1 will ever give me a refund, they will probably just change their name and continue to damage vehicles. Check out my post on MY.IS for photos of the car after I had Mobile 1 Dealing’s damage fixed ( http://my.is/forums/f126/new-forum-is350-smokey-granite-mica-392994/#post5920216 )

Justdoitmikey
mwiener2: Yep that is totally right! You would think that if you ran a business where you specifically called out other detailers on leaving swirl marks on your website that you would be dam sure you knew how to use a buffer and the right pads to use. GTTuner
You need to have a pro buff your car. It is alot of work and several steps are needed, not just burn some compound in there and wax it. My friend takes 8-10 or so hours to buff a black car properly. It comes out looking like the paint is still wet!
