johnAWD
I've got a Perrin catback, and it's a fine piece of hardware. However, it's just too loud for me. Would anyone like to trade a performance, but quiet, catback for my Perrin? It's been on the car for about 1.25 years, still looks great, and the tone is quite nice. I'll be driving the car 1000 miles as soon as our house sells, and driving back from DIA today I had the realization that I'd have a headache driving 85 across Nebraska. praedet
I have a stock midpipe, y-pipe, and some wagon cans, don't want the perrin though...
johnAWD
And stock plumbing won't cut it here.
praedet
Why not keep the Perrin Y and go w/ stock cans that are "lobotomized"? You don't loose much, and it is nice and quiet

johnAWD
I'd like the option of silencers. You have a PM, tingtang. Here's install day. http://jsalmi.com/car/exhaust/catback/IMG_7032.jpg
collegemt
I really wish My wife liked a loud exhaust. I think the Perrin exhaust sounds sweet. On her LGT I have a 3" X02 mid and Y with some magnaflow straight through mufflers, it sounds good but is very quite compared to most aftermarket exhausts, If your deal with Ting tang falls through let me know, I might try to convince my wife to enjoy the noise. johnAWD
After some thought on the subject, and input from some of my local car pals, I am going to try silencers in the Perrin setup first. With that said - anyone in Colorado have a pair of 4" silencers? http://www.legacygt.com/forums/showthread.php?p=2518290#post2518290
tingtang
darn it!! i knew my luck wasnt that good every car that ive heard with silencers sound like crap... but if you dont mind thats all that matters... let me know!! im kinda interested in seeing how the perrin sounds with silencers... johnAWD
I'll let you know when I get them installed, Ting. All I need them for is the roadtrip and perhaps the random desire to quiet the beastie down. Sounding like crap for a couple days won't matter - without them I'd surely exit the car with a headache. johnAWD
Wow - I still had the RE92s on the car. My God those tires are shit. I'd like the option of silencers. You have a PM, tingtang. enthusiast
Just saw this thread. I have the silencers and like them when needed. Takes the noise inside down considerably. I like the noise though! My mod list
