dan_m
I've got the Xo2 catback but still got my stock mufflers on, I want to replace them with something better flowing so I was thinking getting SPT cans because I like them the best, but everywhere I've searched they sell them as kits only, does anyone know where I can get the cans only? I believe Bosal makes the mufflers, maybe I can get them there... but I can't locate _just_the_cans =( thx. for any help

dan_m
the kit would have to be shipped to you first and then you would ship the cans out to me.. if you're really interested in working something out just PM me...thx.

korpsepatrol
spt cans don't mate up to aftermarket or stock mid and y's. That is why they only sell them as catbacks. 2008 6mt Legacy Gt Spec B DGM - Not so Stock/Work in progress 2006 5mt Legacy Gt OBP - Sold 2005 5eat Legacy Gt OBP - RIP R.I.P Coxx
dan_m
^ I know a muffler shop that can mate up pipes quite goodly heh my other choice is to pick up two sti cans and tell the muffler guy to spin his magic.... I know one side works fine, the other ...ummmm....=(
OGHK87Jay
You could always buy avo cans or make your own quad tip mufflers using 2 magnaflow mufflers (someone one on this forum did that)

I know one side works fine, the other ...ummmm....=( If thats the case i would definitely opt for the two sti cans before i would do the spt's. Just for the rarity, everyone could buy the spt catback but not everyone(if anyone) has the sti cans. As for the avo's i have a set on mine, and HIGHLY recommend them. 2008 6mt Legacy Gt Spec B DGM - Not so Stock/Work in progress 2006 5mt Legacy Gt OBP - Sold 2005 5eat Legacy Gt OBP - RIP R.I.P Coxx
dan_m
yeah but I'm not sure the passenger side will take the sti can ( the entry pipe is on the wrong side> towards the outside ).. the driver side can will fit well tho ( funny avatar btw LOL )
scoobydoobie
PLEASE try the dual STI axlebacks and let us know how it goes!

I figure it will be a PITA to get the other side to work. However after completion you can be happy to have a one of a kind OEM style axle back. Plus i am sure the sound will be quite awesome. dan_m
yeah 'after completion'... that presupposes that the right can will clear everything including all the suspension components in that area, but already the sti can is about 4'' longer than the LGT one... and the entry pipe on the wrong side just isn't helping matters =( see post 49 here: http://legacygt.com/forums/showthread.php?t=106664&page=
