Official jdm conversion/aftermarket body thread

Recommended Posts

I am using the USDM ones, for this bumper you have to make some custom brackets. I will be getting the STi lip too, but I'm gonna wait (as its not cheap to get it here).

Car looks great!! I think it would look even better if you lay some nice mesh at the bottom there! Like this,

what's funny is that you can't tell that inside the car are my two youngest kids, sitting in car seats, playing with sticker books. it's jdm sweetness on the outside, straight minivan action in the inside.

I have to have a front plate on the car, so it will cover up the beam. Stupid VT laws. Still have to make an adapter plate to mount the license plate to since the JDM holes are too wide (unless someone who already has the JDM conversion can let me in on a secret of how to mount it)

This is how i did it:

1. I bought these... you can buy them anywhere

2. I put them Here...

3. Line Up The Plate and drill new Holes... (I made my holes lower so the plate would be a little higher for the front mount)

4. Attached my frame with small black Zip ties on top and some bolts on the bottom to make it secure (the new CT Plates Never sit flat, they are super thin compared to the old ones)

It sits real flat and you cant really see it from the side ... the bolts are a little ugly but you gotta get real close to see it.

It is a pretty hefty fine in CT for not having a front plate. I had to put it on

If you don't want to drill look into the totsubo license plate mount kit you can get it at south coast performance
