jlb476s
I was think of thinking of trying to swapout my 2006 stereo for a newer 08 or 09 stereo with the aux in. Has anyone tried this yet? Anyone know how difficult it could or would be? Thanks for info.

zmarko
An 08 head unit will work with an 05 LGT, read this thread for more info. They switched head units for '09 though to a Harmon Kardon system, and to my knowledge no one's tried one of those in a non-HK car. To get aux in, it's not just like purchasing an '07-08 head unit though and you're good to go, there are other pieces you need to find/purchase. The cubby in the center console that actually houses the aux in, and then also the wiring harness that goes from that to the head unit.

If you're content to simply have a 3.5mm stereo plug emerging somewhere from the dash or center console (to plug into your MP3 player), then the only tricky piece you'll need to find is a compatible connector to plug into the 8-pin socket on the back of the radio (with the pins for the Aux input).
