mochaj
man ive replaced my head lights 2.5 times with silverstars in the last 10000 miles. about every 2 months one of them goes out(filament). its starting to get on my nerves. should i try dielectric grease on the connector pins? its really starting to piss me off. i dont touch the bulbs and everything looks dry no moisture in lens assy. input appreciated. its a 2005 lgt 2.5 stock lights

qikslvr
You guys need to make sure that the fan relay/ECU recall has been taken care of on your cars. Most of us had headlight issues in 05-06, but most of the issues cleared up after the fan relay or ECU was replaced. Another way to at least slow it down is to kill the DRL's. Let's kick this pig! mochaj
my ecu was replaced a few months ago so i think the fan issue would of been corrected on new ecu. thanks
boostsr20
I had the same problem with silverstars doing that. I switched to HID's and haven't had a single problem in 3 years. Just spend the $150 and buy a volt hid kit. Its easy to install.
iNVAR
my ecu was replaced a few months ago so i think the fan issue would of been corrected on new ecu. thanks the fan issue isn't the ecu's problem. it's a faulty relay that burns out the ecu. replacing the ecu won't eliminate the relay problem if it exists. I had this done and it did nothing for the headlights. Trash the stock bulbs and go with HID's...2x the light and the bulbs stay lit.

I had one bulb go out before the recall work. Since then, no problems. Purchased my car in November 2005 and now have 61,000 miles.
