ej25 dohc non with acvs technology??

Recommended Posts

hello guys, I am told that an Ej25 dohc (non turbo) engine is available Japan with ACVS (variable valve lift) technology similar to the subaru

ej205(impreza wrx) and ej25-5(legacy,forester turbo) and ej25-7 (impreza wrx). I am trying to find out spec info. (e.g chassis model, horsepower, torque info, compression ratio)

has anyone heard of this ej25 dohc w/ acvs(non turbo)..

is is true?

thanks

Avcs isnt valve lift, it is valve timing. In america the sohc 2.5 is the only engine availible with i-active valve lift which switches between 2 camshaft profiles after the rpm threshold has been met. All turbo charged engines are dohc and do not require variable valve lift because boost takes no prisonores regardless of valve positioning.

thanks for for replying.

I was under the impression that acvs (was variable valve timing, lift)(vvl, vvt)

the engine does exist.

it's a dohc ej25 (non turbo), but uses the ACVS system that the turbo motors use.

would appreciate more feedback.

have googled and have had no luck on this type motor..

thanks
