Inigo Montoya
So for my wife's new car I went ahead and got a clearbra put on the front. Now my normal washing I think will be ok, but what about wax or anything else on top?
mattg
Go ahead and wax it. It will only make it more shiny.
Inigo Montoya
Usually I use a sealant, wolfgangs to be exact applied with a PC, I don't feel good about using that on the clearbra portion. I do have some s100 that I can use and just apply by hand if need be.
theflystyle
if its like my 3m bra... treat it as if it wasent there. meaning you can do what you would usually do to paint. i wash, clay bar, wax and seal just like paint.. cant even tell its there
Inigo Montoya
That is what I got, the 3M one. I ended up hand waxing it after washing, it is still in it's first 2 weeks so I wanted to be a bit careful.
Euclid
I don't use my buffer on the clearbra, I wax those portions by hand.
theflystyle
i dont use a buffer or porter at all anyways so i didnt remember to mention it... one thing you will learn is that the bra is much stronger than you think and when you see the portions it sacrificed in order to keep your bumper protected you will be thankfull that you got it. was it put on the car brand new? Inigo Montoya
Yes, care came to the dealership when I was actually out of town, I arranged for the tint and clear bra guys to get the car from the dealership and do the installation before I even made the final purchase. Worked out great and did not have to drop the car off anywhere and waste more hours. All in all it worked out great. We got a Honda Fit for my wife's commute, it is about 40 miles each way. http://farm4.static.flickr.com/3323/3495375360_7ce9e3b016.jpg?v=
