rosscarlson
Everyone, On Friday I picked my car up from the shop after a lot of mods, etc. I had the following done: - Borla CBE installed - Crucial down pipe - Cobb short throw and Cobb bushings - 91 and E85 tune Now in first and second gears I hear what I'd call a scrubbing sound and I think it's coming from something transmission related. This happens under acceleration, but it doesn't have to be hard. As soon as I put the clutch in the sound goes away. This is only happening in 1st and 2nd, not 3rd and higher (09 Spec.B so 6MT). Any thoughts? Anything to worry about? I'm going to call the shop tomorrow but figured I'd check here first... Thanks, Ross
TRSCobra
It's probably the short throw and harder bushings causing more NVH in the cabin...
rosscarlson
Any idea of it's something I need to address? I don't mind the sound (would prefer no sound but it's ok), just want to be sure I'm not doing any damage...
TRSCobra
Well it wont hurt to have it looked at just to be safe, but keep in mind it may just be the normal increased NVH from your new parts.
