VXCL
Ok so held my usdm fogs up to the jdm bumper and the mounts are on odd angles. seems like pita to take the time to make simple mounts and i dont want to go the zip tie route. are you all running your usdm fogs? i think im's just going to find a used set of jdm fogs. anyone else go that route? thanks. JonLGT
Mine are USDM zip tied on. You can make brackets but my foglights havent budged one bit since installation.
Jim_KT
USDM fogs for me. They are installed via self-fab'd brackets and technologically advanced zip ties. So far, so good. I believe that Unclemat went the JDM fog route.
VXCL
Thanks for the responses. I'm just worried about the zip ties in cold weather. I've seen them snap before and I'm uneasy about it. (even the indoor/outdoor uv resistant ones) I go to VT alot and NJ winters are pretty cold at times as well. Also worried about the force on them at higher speeds. I just done feel like dealing with one of them if it becomes loose. MAYHEM #122/22 STS NNJR SCCA AUTOX4U.COM XENON RETRO GUIDE

VXCL
If I cant get a good price on some used jdm ones, then I guess zip ties and or wire it is. Doesn't seem like anyone went the jdm route. OEM fit FTMFW!!! did you have to order the mounts for it seperate from the lamp itself. this pic makes it seem like maybe it doesn't come together. http://www.japanparts.com/images/ImageFromDB.php?base=1&no=325 you buy them new from japanparts? trying to find some used ones. also seems like the bulbs are h3? and are the connectors the same or should i plan to wire new connectors? thanks. Guest
Depends on the part #. Part # 84501AG000 and 84501AG010 *do* include brackets (whole enchilada). I bought the fogs used (lucked out) and got the brackets separately. They are H3 and plug into car harness no prob.

Guest
Indentical projectors, just mouting points are different. Unless you can get used ones cheap it's not worth paying for new ones.
finalburden
unclemat, how far off were the USDM fender liners and undertray with the JDM bumper? Did you test them or just use the JDM stuff anyways?
Guest
They leave a gap on the side. I have pics somewhere documenting my conversion I meant to post but never got around to. I used JDM liners that basically have an addon piece riveted to the liner to fill the gap. Very ghetto even from the factory... you can't buy these addon pieces separately. Undertray requires some minor trimming, not a big deal.
Jim_KT
+1 to what unclemat stated about the JDM fender liners. They are pretty ghetto-fabulous from Nippon, but they do a good job filling in the gap that the USDM liners create. I'd still buy them if I could do it all over again. Considering purchasing some JDM fogs as well... hhhhmmmmmmmmmmmmmm
