spec.b
as the title suggests, has anyone been able to mount v3's on a leg?I'll get the v2's if I have to, but it would be sweet to have rebound and damper control...
slimjoe
There was some talk of the V3's some time ago but it kind of died off. http://www.legacygt.com/forums/showthread.php?t=98227
icelatte
Unless you're gonna spend track time to sort it all out, get the V2. I have V3 on my 911 and there's probably too much to tweak on the track between tire pressures, alignment, corner balance, then add in damper adjustments. The V3 adjustments are only for slow speed damper control. The high speed control (such as road cracks, speed bumps) are set by the factory anyway. spec.b
thanks for the info... I was planning on using these for auto-x setup. I am in the process of designing a new rotated twinscroll turbo setup at the moment.

High speed piston movement is the FAST , QUIK jolts like expansion joints and or bouncing off of curbing at the track. Compression yes is preset from the factory in the high speed range but you are influencing the low speed compression. REBOUND is fully adjustable. At any rate we are alreayd working with KW of Germany on this for the Legacy. I will have a prototype that I will install on my car( unless we find a local) to test. Myles I thought that's what I said. Anyway, good luck with the prototyping and I hope you convince KW to make the rebound adjustment more user friendly than I've found on the Porsche. spec.b
any chance I can get in on the prototype action??? willing to pay for a set as long as they have the correct mounts for our b.spec tophats, and are offset spring rates (I prefer stiffer springs in the rear)
spec.b
BTW, Myles, what's the difference between your "tarmac 1" and the kw2's??? I really need a set of coils asap...

Yeah it will be on top like the T1's are..BUT the compression will be on the bottom in the back, so very standard. Myles

Valving is tweaked and we use the KW higher quality race springs that are more linear for more travel. Ordered now be here in 2-3 weeks. Once this is up and running we will be fine. Its not a matter of "will they" its more so I just need to do the leg work( no pun) and make it happen.
