puravidaa
Get P1100 Code - Starter Switch Circuit Malfunction. Anybody have an idea where to proceed from here??? thanks
ehsnils
Does the car fail to start? Check the fuse box under the hood - especially any relay related to the starter switch. It may of course also be the switch itself.
puravidaa
Thanks for reply. Starter turns over fine. Car started today, but it did not other day (starter still turning over fine) If it turns over fine, what part of starter switch would keep it from starting?? ehsnils
There are several items on the way, usually an interlocking relay and a contact at the clutch - or a contact at the gear selector for AT vehicles. The switch at the key can also be the problem. I don't have the wiring diagram at hand, but it seems like you have a bad connection somewhere, which can be tricky to find but not too hard to fix when you have found it.
