Just picked up my OB this wekeend and it only has one key set...thanks for any help!

Said it's up to 1999, can't be the same thing for 2005 (mine). I hear that 2005+, you need to program all key at the same time, cause when you re-program, the other one wont be recognized by the new "encrypted key" or something like that. Wonder if we could do it ourself.

I know for the 08 its a pain in the behind to program yourself. Its possible, just a huge pain. It goes something like this (This is by memory from reading the manual):

  1. Make sure all doors are closed
  2. Open drivers door and closed the door
  3. Insert Key into ignition, turn to on position.
  4. With in 5 seconds Press the Lock window button 3 times, you should hear a chime.
  5. Press the lock window button again.
  6. Enter the 8 Digit FoB number starting with the first by Pressing up on the diverside window control for each numerical digit. (Ei. Press up 6 times if the number is 6)
  7. Press the window lock up and down again.
  8. Repeat Step 6-7
  9. Enter the 8 Digit security number located on the tiny peice of metal that came with the fob. Using the same method as 6.
  10. Press the window lock up and down again.
  11. Repeat 9-10
  12. You should hear a chime. Try you fob.

orderd and got the FOB from Ikeyless and i'm disappointed...the pic showed one of the code alarm look-alikes..but what i got was one of the generic FOB's that you can get on Ebay for 1/2 the cost i paid....F-in pissed....i could have saved the coin...debating weather or not to try it and see if it works and live with it..or B*tch and try to get it back and a refund....dammit!

I'm kinda wondering this myself. They just gave me a loaner today and it has a fob key all in one. I want that for my car. She said a new key is $150.

FOUND IT!!!!!!!!!

Right next to the kick panel on the left side - pointing straight down to the carpet - it is only the diameter of a dime - and the button is very small....here is a pic i snapped with my phone..this is looking up from the floor...right against the left side of the footwell...

new remote i got works perfectly....procedure is simple...

1) Open door

2) Turn key to Full on position with dash lights lit up but do not start the car

3) Press button in and hold for 15 seconds....door locks will cycle 3 times - KEEP Holding button in...and then press the "lock" button on the remotes you want to have work. You will hear the door locks click when the button on the remote is pressed.

4) Let go of button and turn key to "Off"

5) Try out remotes.

Both my original one and the new one i got work perfect. And the new one will unlock all the doors by holding the unlock button down just like the original remote. I have another remote on the way from an Ebay guy - was all of $17 shipped - the code i searched for is GOH-M24 - that is the code on the back of the factory remote for the frequency. I'm sure the new key FOB i get will work too.

Now i can give a set to the wife for her to have and a spare to have in the house. My Subie Love just went up a notch! Just wnated to share.
