2010 Ford Fusion - the new legacy

Hello everyone,

So I went on Google and I was looking at photos of the new 2010 Ford Fusion. I realized that the car looks pretty good - very similar to the last generation Legacy (the one that just ended). From the perspective of looks, I think of it as a similar to if not advanced looking version of the 09 Legacy. This especially becomes clear if you look at the back of the car. I must admit that when I put the 2010 Fusion next to the 2010 Legacy the Fusion wins based on looks. But then again, my 07 Legacy wins on looks too. What car doesn't win on looks vs the 2010 Legacy? But what do you guys think of the 2010 Fusion exterior body style?

The '10 Fusion is a really nice car, and ford I belive built it for main stream driving public who dont favor a 6 speed to an auto. They do offer manual on the 4 but not the 6 and they also only offer awd on the 3.5L V6. I would rock one, its like a better legacy 3.0R that isnt so ugly (if your comparing a 2010 models)

The SHO model, will be 350 hp and awd btw it is the same power pland that will be in the new taurus SHO. That engine is fords new eco boost engine, that is like the bmw 335 with 2 turbos big and small, that make it awesome, and its based off the 3.5 NA block thats in the fushion sport.

The crazy thing about the 2010 Fusion too is that it has a sport version with 265 HP that runs on the 87 octane. I think that is a good move. Now we just need to get Ford to throw in a MT on the V6

The 2010 Ford SHO is a 365 HP,Twin Turbo V6, AWD standard car. Plus it has that Ecodrive engine so it is a V6 with the fuel economy of a higher V4 from what I heard. Ford is trying to make things better. It is not a bad idea. Can't blame a company for trying. I just want to take the exterior designer for Subaru, on the other hand, and hit him in the face with a bat. Twice! Once for the Impreza styling and once for the new Legacy styling. It is a shame. The 2010 Subaru Legacy should have looked somewhat similar to the 2010 Fusion. Or they could have at least stuck with the styling on the concept Legacy. That was not so bad. The final version, however, is sooooo watered down and conservative it is just not worth it for me.

They are doing a really really great job on the new Fusion IMO...

They just need to get aggressive (like the old SHO's) with huge wheels, sport tuned suspension, tight and with great to drive....

That will definitely increase their image, there are still tons of devoted people out there who only purchase Ford, and Mustangs are really not an option if you have a family...

Something like this, but a little more powerful and aggressive:

I owned a new '92 SHO. For about 8 months. After multiple attempts to have the manifold, steering box, dash electronics, and suspension fixed (while dealing with Ford corporate's absolute indifference), I swore to never own a Ford product again and lived happily ever after.

I dont care how it looks, its a damn ford. we own our legacys for a reason, the fact that they are not fords. The new leggy may be ugly as sin, but u gotta think of the engineering, effort, and lack of cheap parts used. Fords are disposable cars, subarus are not. although I must say, ford is doing a hell of a lot better than new toyota

Really?

My '05 LGT interior now rattles like a cheap, ******* rental car and I've owned it since it was new...I drove a well cared for '04 Explorer this week (a trade in at our dealer) with similar mileage and it drove and felt like it was brand new, no rattles, nothing.

I wish Subaru's engineers could figure out how to design an interior that doesn't rattle and I wish they had hired Ford's exterior design team for the exterior...

I've never owned a Ford in 24 years of car ownership...but I am really interested in them now that I'm looking to replace the Legacy...since Subaru dropped the ball on the '10.
