I purchased the Langka Kit, that includes cleaner, blob elim, and sealant, along with a plastic card, etc, etc. I'm going to be as specific as possible in my questions, but do forgive me if my problems still appear vague. The progress I made, following the instructions provided from various sources.A. Cleaned, wiped, touch up applied, tried using blob eliminator.1. Paint was allowed to set in, was dry to the touch. 2. The paint not staying in the scratches in some places. b. The paint staying in, but a nice matte (flat) paint cloud around it. When I pressed harder with blob elim, a would result. When I went lightly, b resulted. I tried this for the second time today by wiping off almost all the touch up paint from yesterday using blob eliminator. I went ahead and tried using less touch up, and a more precise brush. Now, I've got mostly a happening, even with a flat card being used underneath the provided microfiber cloth. Brady Posted April 27, 2009 Share Posted April 27, 2009 My understanding of the Langka has always been that it's designed to fill chips, but not well suited to handle scratches much more than a half inch long. For damage like what we see in the pictures, I think you need to sand down the area, respray, clear and polish. You MIGHT be able to clean it up with a can from Paintscratch.com, but since you don't have experience with this, I would say the only way you're going to fix this one is to have a professional do it. ACTUALLY ... the other option you could have is to clean it up, fill the scratches, wet sand and polish, but that would probably even be harder than sanding down the area and spraying the area. I saw it done once before on one of the detailing forums when nearly every panel on a new TL was scratched by a helpful 3 yr old who used a shovel to clear the snow off dad's car. I actually used this kit yesterday on a few chips. I think the blob eliminator is a waste of time. If you have a steady hand and the right applicator then the touch up paint will go on neat. Only let the paint sealant dry for about 10 minutes then wipe it off.
