roybfr Posted April 20, 2009 Share Posted April 20, 2009 I picked up the F150 Metra bracket at Bestbuy, I am trying to figure how what needs to be trimmed to fit it into the slot. Thus far I have cut the side tabs off and trimmed the top hump down flat. Looking at it what I think needs to be done it just cut the top of the bracket completely off and just leave about half the side bars and the bottom pocket to take up the extra space bellow the deck. In the end I think the deck is not mounted to the bracket like normally when using a bracket but just wedged in there between the HVAC ducts, the bottom of the bracket and what will be left of the dash support.
