05AWDGT
I think a complete replacement CF insert would compliment my CF grille very nicely! I'll buy the #
Gire
I'll buy #1 in carbon fiber... tell me where to send my money. It'll compliment my CF grille nicely and will still be somewhat understated. Thanks to all these vendors (thinking seriously about) making this great stuff!
LegacyMUN2k6
+1 for me in CF
BigInALegacy
I'd say #2, i like the bigger appearance i get with my ARC scoop extension. Plus if you completely redesigned it you could probably make the actual opening larger, therefore allowing more air into the TMIC just my .
spartan
I would like to see pictures on the car of the extension.

It is a balancing act between how good it looks and how much air can get it. I'd like you to go as big as you can go while still having the lgt stealth factor. +1 for pics on a car and how about #2 but all carbon fiber (insert and extension)
BigInALegacy
^^ I believe his concept for #2 will be entirley CF Here's some pics of my ARC scoop on my car: http://i210.photobucket.com/albums/bb158/chrisgemail/Silver%20Bullet/0404091458a.jpg http://i210.photobucket.com/albums/bb158/chrisgemail/Silver%20Bullet/0716081615a.jpg http://i210.photobucket.com/albums/bb158/chrisgemail/Silver%20Bullet/0716081614.jpg

a24yophxguy
I would go with #2...especially if it turns out to be one piece CF.
Gire
After seeing some pics above, if there is more interest in making #2, then sign me up for that. It's not as big as I was thinking, which is good.
BigInALegacy
Yah, it's definitely subtle, but enough to make it a little more aggressive. Plus if we could add airflow when re-designing, vs just extending the lip and not changing the bonnet, i think that's a win-win.
axolotl81
I would go with #2 as well...especially the idea of being able to make the actual scoop more open on the bottom. Put me down for one as well. Great quality from this vendor.

jerseyglock
Hmmm, can the top portion of the insert be bigger (more aggresive look)? What is the eta. 2. Underdog
#2 would be my preference as well. I would like it to not be much more aggressive than the ARC unit, if at all. I've never liked the tacked-on look of the ARC (no offense ARC owners) so a one-piece design would be a winner. The Crimson Dynamo
dazzen
If the #2 piece (arc extender) is painted to match the car color then it will no way look like a tacked-on piece. I think that # 2 would be perfect if it was made just a little bigger then the ARC model. A fiberglass model for those of us who plan on painting it would be great! The problem with the ARC is that its just slightly too subtle and the full-scoop replacements such as K2's is too big and ricey.

Perhaps you knew this already but by your post it sounds like you think #2 is the extension alone, which I think is option #3. dazzen
Oh, I see... ya I thought # 2 was just the extender. But, with that small price difference then I would definitely vote for the merged scoop. Subaru has been using the same hood scoop dimensions for all these old-ass non turbo Legacy's for ever.....Our real turbo car needs a more suitable yet non obnoxious larger opening.
