Gary Bechtold
Hi. I bought the Techna-Fit SS brake lines from you with rotors, pads for my 2005 Legacy GT Wagon. The passenger side front line got loose and rubbed against the wheel. Needless to say it rubbed through and now all my GS610 brake fluid is on the street. I need a new passenger side front line overnighted to me. My car is currently at Austin Subaru out of commission till I can get that line. Can you please call me on my cell (which I PM'd and emailed earlier today) so I can arrange getting the line to the dealer to get my car fixed. Thanks! JoeFromPA
Might be worth it to throw on a stock line (easily available) until you can get a replacement, if you don't want your car out of duty for a few days.
Gary Bechtold
Eric emailed/pm'd me back. Techna-Fit is sending the line to the dealer. So I should have my car back on Monday hopefully. (Stupid weekends!) Oddly enough local dealers did not have the line in stock and would have to order it also.
Paisan
I'm pretty sure the front lines are not exclusive to the Legacies so you could find a local with a stock one if you were really jammed up. -mike

VXCL
where did it come loose? i just installed a set during a brembo swap and the line that goes through the mount that bolts to the strut doesnt move at all. I've heard stories in the past of the line moving back and forth when you turn the wheel, but my set wouldn't budge just like the fixed oem lines. Is that the failure? It becomes unglued or whatever then starts moving? maybe ill add some zip ties and slip a small section of rubber hose on them. Gary Bechtold
Well ultimately the bracket holding it in place was loose and the slack on the line was on the wheel side, not the inside of the wheel well. How exactly that happened is a mystery. I'm positive 2 months ago when I rotated my wheels/tires it wasn't there, but maybe it was. The memory can be foggy. I have a new thing on the paranoia list to check in the future. The line got to the dealer today and they installed it so all is well with the Legacy now. I have to thank Techna-Fit for just sending the line overnight shipping, no-questions asked. Now that is customer service!
