captainhook
I'm installing a set of 22mm Perrin swaybars + endlinks this weekend using some ramps. Anyone have any suggestions / things to look out for before I dive in? I have the 3" SPT exhaust, anyone know if I'm gonna need to drop that to get the rear one in? Also, if anyone has any feedback regarding the two settings, I'm all ears. I'm thinking I may just bolt up the softer setting until I get my Direzza's on. But if the stiffer setting isn't too intense I'll just do that from the get go. Thanks.
whitetiger
i wouldnt use ramps. it better to have the suspension unloaded when doing the swaybars. you will def have to drop the exhaust down to do the rear bar.

scoobydoobie
I've heard the opposite, best to have the suspension weighted when doing the install. http://www.scoobymods.com/forums/20mm_us_sti_rear-t2937.html?t=2937 I also had to unbolt the mufflers to get the old bar out and new one in. Note: For this mod you must have the wheels with the full weight of the car on them. If you don't do this there will be force and weight on the sway bar and you can get hurt taking it off. whitetiger
Ive done 20+ bar installs and always did it unloaded. everything always lined up perfectly. if the suspension is lodaed unevenly, it will be hard to line up the endlinks to slip them in. iahtnoob
No problems here doing them on ramps and parts aligning. The hardest part was getting the stock bolts loosened but since you have an 08, it should be easier for you. Good luck.
