0001
whats up guys, i just got into legacys here in the last few weeks cause of a freind, and i'm looking to buy a 90 legacy awd in the coming weeks and was just wondering what are some good sites for parts? i have really not found many online sites that even sell parts for these cars, i'm not big into huge horsepower or nothing i just like having a good handling car with a little kick, and also i found the 2.2l turbo motor on ebay how much work would it be to put it in? stock motor mounts etc? Reuben
I would recommend just finding a legacy SS. Be patient. A swap is allot of work, mainly because of the loom, you can't just plug up a turbo engine in a non turbo engine bay. That said, the great thing about the post 89 subaru's is that all engines fit all cars, and parts are interchangable between most. But yeah, just wait and buy an SS that was factory turbo, those cars have great potential, especially with a DOHC head swap.
Platinum_Racing
Welcome! I have a 92 Legacy L 2WD automatic sedan. Nice car, strong motor, but it's got a lot of problems at 148K miles. None of these problems are mechanical, it's just got some rust and a bunch of body damage. I love that year Legacy. I think they look really good, and the performance isn't bad for a car of it's time. The EJ22 is defiantly a strong mill. Never had the oportunity dto drive one with a turbo though. When you find one you'll have to tell me how it drives.
RedAce
It depends on sites for parts. What kind of mods do you want to do?
