Pics???

Flavio Zanetti

Boston, MA

Well, I got them mounted, but then my header cracked so the car is back up on jacks...never put the wheels on. Will take some shots in a couple weeks when I get them on the car...and the header changed ;-0

I've got some 17x7.5 et48 wheels with 235/40/17 Dunlop Direzza StarSpecs on them for AutoX. (they are as wide as most 245 tires)...

No pics yet :(

235/40/17 - great fit...very wide tire (1" more than my 225s) which is what I wanted. Tracked it a couple sessions in the rain (other sessions were on my R compounds) and no rubbing or anything. May still roll the lip on the inside just to be extra safe, but I don't think it's necessary (I'm lowered about 1/2").

Forgot about this thread!

I run 235-40-18 all day and its great

Now, I'm running the 245-45-17 Azenis RT-615 on 18x8 Rota Boost for the track and love them though I had to get the rears rolled a bit and the crease there (when you remove the rubber trim) got a slight crack in the paint that I took care off wit touch up paint. Good thing they didn't use that rubber trim in the 2010. ;) 245-40-17 might have not rubbed but I got a good deal on these and now, with the fender mod, I got a better contact patch for the track. :D

Some dirty pics:

Rubber trim that isn't there any more:

Will wash and take new ones.

I'd be interested in seeing pics of this setup when you get a chance. I have 17x7.5 et48 Rotas and I'd like to mount wider than a 225 if I can.

Do you get much squirm or rollover etc?

I'm so bad about taking pics...

I probably won't mount those wheels/tires until spring...

But, FWIW, no squirm or rollover with the starspecs (they have very stiff sidewalls).
