RIPjeep2002
How has everyone taken off the Subaru badge off the stock grill and attach it to their RBS or R-Rev Grill?
scoobydoobie
I heated mine up with a hairdryer and put a screw driver behind it. Apply pressure and it will pop out.
firepyro515
Hairdryer, then either pry it off, or on the backside of the grille, there is a little hole behind the emblem.....you know what to do As far as attaching it to my RBS grille, i used 3 bolts in a triangular pattern, secured them with duct tape, then i screwed 2 nuts onto each bolt, and added a washer, put it on the grille and then tightened it using another washer and 2 more nuts. Stayed on really well and it didnt move at all. (i'm sure you could use an adhesive, but mine took off the paint on my previous emblem and gorilla glue expands really far)
Regal05LGT
I used a hairdryer/screwdriver combo, worked nicely

How are the bolts attached to the emblem itself?
firepyro515
duct tape. i cut little slits in the duct tape to put the bolts through and just trimmed around the emblem
iNVAR
ah, i see. mine's only being held on by double sided 3m tape right now... it seems pretty sturdy being attached that way to the grille, but i might do it your way instead.
scoobydoobie
3M double sided tape is all you need to get the emblem to stick and stay. No need for bolts, etc.
RIPjeep2002
So is the back of the emblem a solid piece that the 3m tape could stick to? Or do I have to trim the tape and run it along the outside rim
firepyro515
3M double sided tape is all you need to get the emblem to stick and stay. No need for bolts, etc. When attaching it to the RBS grille, you can't just use double sided tape, unless you use multiple layers and even then, it still has the opportunity to fall or or even just get knocked off very easily. I tried using double sided tape first and it didn't work well because the back side of the tape is exposed. (IMHO) Remember, emblem is curved, grille is flat....... scoobydoobie
You can just use double sided tape, I've had my emblem on for 5 months with it. YMMV, but it works fine for me.

Are you going to make a matching back emblem? I'm not sure if I want one emblem up front and a L7 emblem in the back lol, it might confuse people even more than they already are their brains might explode
R-REV SPORTS
Im making an R-REV emblem with the back FLAT. It can go on the grille with some light mod, ( I will figure out which is easiest mod to do) or It can go on the back of the car by the SUBARU area, the size is about 3" wide, says " R-REV", check it out here, http://www.rrevsports.com/p_emblem.htm
