Looking for a great suspension shop

I'm getting my leggy ready for the track this season and am looking for someone in town that can really dial the suspension in for me. I've done adjustable K-Sport coilovers, whiteline F/R sways (and endlinks) and know I need an alignment at a minimum.

Any recommendations? I know some of the bigger shops in town offer lifetime alignment - as I'm going to swap twice a year (stock for winter, track setup for summer) that's pretty tempting...

Thanks,

Ross

You're in Boulder - Try Super Rupair on Yarmoth & Broadway in NoBo. They've worked on my car with no problems, and I believe there is a member here on the site who just started working there.

They did my sways last winter. i also plan on having super rupair do a dyno tune while they do the suspension swap. they will be installing my bilsteins after I get my 60k-replace-everything-under-warranty service this weekend over at flatirons. i also plan on having super rupair do a dyno tune while they do the suspension swap.

oh yea, flatirons has a tuning shop that can do your suspension - they are more expensive but are pretty reputable. you'll be fine with either shop i think.

sorry for the delayed response - been busy!

Few weeks ago. I do performance installations and I run the dyno for baselines and self-tuners. I'm only officially there 2 days a week though.

Good to know! I may be coming up there in the next month or so to have Harvey tune my wagon. Just trying to get a 3" Mid/Y and some injectors. Got everything else for a strong Stage 2 E85 in my garage waiting to go on the car

I posted this earlier in the suspension/brakes section but figured I would link to it here to see if maybe there might be someone at Super that could help. So, here's the link. Let me know what you think I should do? (whether it be bringing it in or something I can do myself)

read your other post.... it sounds like one of those things that we'd have to see to diagnose.

You either don't have something installed/adjusted right or it's not a good match to your car.

Excellent. Thanks for the info. I'm gonna go through the suspension this weekend and if I can't figure what's going on I'll certain be taking it to Super...

Not to hijack, but I'm looking for some recommendations on a new suspension set up. I'm currently on the stock struts with Tein H Techs and have been for about 30k miles. The time has come for them to both be replaced because I'm over the harsh ride and they are making all kinds of noise. I'm looking to spend $1000-$1500.

Thanks in advance fellas.

I have D2 coilovers and I love them so far. The ride is very adjustable including camber plates (At least on the front). It looks like they have the D2-S07-3 model for the 05+ Legacy for less than $1500 on the D2 Racing website but I'm sure you can find them cheaper elsewhere.

Found some on eBay here: http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/05-Legacy-D2-RACING-COILOVERS-FREE-FREIGHT_W0QQitemZ350194168794QQcmdZViewItemQQptZMotors_Car_Truck_Parts_Accessories?hash=item518932f3da&_trksid=p4506.c0.m245&_trkparms=72%3A1205|65%3A12|39%3A1|240%3A1318

Thanks for the info.

Ted - Can you elaborate why you suggested the Tarmac 1's? Are they $500 better than the D2's that were also suggested?

How much should I expect for installation? I don't have the skillz to do it myself.

It depends on what you want. The KW/Tarmac 1s are like a BMW sport suspension...

NEVER jarring, but much better handling than stock. IMHO they are more comfortable, and more taunt, than any of the Bilstein/springs combos I have ridden in...

The D2s are a great entry level coil-over that is more track oriented...

As far as doing it yourself, you should have us help ;)

Other than a few spirited drives into the mountains, I have no need for a coilover that is track oriented. I'll check back into this thread after I pull the trigger. Thanks again for the suggestions.

Very true. The D2's are track oriented but you can adjust the damper on them ride just slightly stiffer than stock. Of course, they still aren't recommended for daily driver street use...
