suzysube
Im So d#mn excited. I still have a week to go. Solid autoworks is putting in the HD mm ACT clutch and 06/07 wrx flywheel. I cant wait to be able to get into boost again. The clutch slips in almost every gear. Anyways, just thought i would share with you fellow lgt'ers my excitement. Hops
Very nice! I love mine. Why did you go with the WRX flywheel instead of the LGT? Buy my cars!

suzysube
Oh man I love my lightweight flywheel! But it definitely is a pain in the ass to drive daily. Ya, there is a part of me thats sad, and wish i would have went lightweight. But I know somewhere down the line I would have regretted it for a daily driver. rosscarlson
Guys I'm new to this so sorry if this is a dumb question - why is a light weight flywheel bad for a daily driver? I'll be doing a lot of track work with my Spec.B and am considering a lightweight flywheel and new clutch. But she is my daily driver... Don't really care too much about a rough ride, already have coilovers and sways so she's very stiff already...
suzysube
lightweight flywheels are awesome for track racing(from what I hear). But hard to rev match in daily driving. I think it's six's either way. I have heard people on both sides of the fence give very good answers. But from what I gathered in my research, is that it's a "no go" in daily driving. But it's totally up to you on what you want. Ask JDMchizad, he loves his. But i dont think its for me.
mwiener2
LWFW are god for racign because they are less rotating mass. the car revs faster and it is a bit eaiser/faster rev matching A full weight FW is nice because it is eaiser to drive in traffic. The extra mass makes starting from a stop eaiser and crawlign in traffic easier. Because the engien is slower to change revs, shifting is smoother too. Hops
Wouldn't do it in a daily driver... GREAT for racing. Very touchy off the line. Sucks ass in traffic. You have to feather the pedals constantly. Buy my cars!
rosscarlson
Thanks guys - my commute is very easy/nice - no really stop and go traffic at all. While I do get in that from time-to-time it's not very common for me at all. I'll keep it on my short list of mods ;-)
