RedDawg
Just want to make sure that an Invidia UP & DP will bolt up to a Megan Racing CBE (dual outlet pipes) fine. Is anyone running this combo?

trademark
I've been talking to Lawl and he says that the invidia DP has fitment issues with aftermarket CBE... I'm not too stoked now to get a CBE since fitment could be an issue with it..
05Limited
I've got a Megan quad tip with an invidia catless downpipe - the rear flange on the downpipe has a slight upward angle that doesn't really need to be there - it makes fitment tight but not impossible by any means, or even very difficult to get to fit without issues - the car sounds amazing, if my engine were running right now I'd make a sound clip. RedDawg
i think i'm going to go with the APS flex uppipe, Invidia DP, & MR dual outlets now after helping mindspin do his stage 2 this past weekend i see the benefits of having a flex uppipe. RedDawg
didn't some Brand of flex Uppipe break apart and ruin the turbos? i don't know, just starting to research them. APS one seemed "best" so far.

05Limited
I've never heard of that happening - the STi uppipe has a flex section in it from the factory. The catalytic converter is the thing you want to remove - a flex uppipe is a good idea imo when dealing with the factory 2-bolt flange from header to up-pipe. Grimmspeed makes good products, I'd look at theirs. http://www.grimmspeed.com/catalog/product_info.php?cPath=22&products_id=79 I'd also get it ceramic coated - it's only 20 bucks from grimmspeed which is a great deal - it'll keep all your exhaust gases hot (more power and quicker spool) and keep the heat out of your engine bay. If you're going to get headers at some point anyway - I'd recommend either maddad or gt-spec as they offer a 3-bolt connection from uppipe to header and include the uppipe with the headers - it lets you run a solid uppipe and I've never had a leak on the two sets that I've owned. RedDawg
you would still use a heat-shield even with a ceramic coated one right?
05Limited
I don't use one with mine - but it won't fit with my turbo - more heat shielding is always better.
lookslikeanevo
i forgot to note one thing about my car... it also had an MR header...during that dyno Current:MY05 SWP wagon - 253/290 UP, AEM CAI, Invidia Q300, tuned@yimisport OLD: MY06 GRP - 274/
