Penguin
This is long overdue, this guy is clueless about the car industry and is not even passionate about cars. Typical paper pushing puke, good riddance. Too bad it didn't happen sooner, maybe GM would not have been doomed then. http://news.yahoo.com/s/ap/gm_wagoner
frostbite3360
Ehh. This isn't changing anything. GM is basically gonna be the American equivelant of Saab. It's gonna be owned by the country its produced in.

Bolksey85
I couldn't agree more. At the same time, GM should invest in a time machine and set it for 1971 so they can go back and prevent building the crap the gave us over the last 4 decades. Ol' Wagoner I'm sure didn't help it any.
Silverstar
Wagoner was much better than some in the industry (see JT Battenburg), but he did too little too late, GM for too long has been slow to change, likely due to it's size. They'll be much better off as a smaller company after this restructuring. Is he really not passionate about cars? He got pretty down and dirty with the camaro restyling. Wagoner was in no way responsible for the new Camaro. For that we can thank Bob Lutz. I remember reading an interview with Wagoner when he took over GM and the guy was absolutely indifferent to the product, couldn't even name a car he was excited about. Sdrvr
Most accurate description I've heard of GM is "a health care and pension company that builds cars on the side". Maybe they can merge with Blue Cross or BOA.
